India’s JSW Steel posts weaker financial performance in April-June due to influx of cheapimports

India’s JSW Steel has reported lower financial results in Q1 FY 2016 (April-June 2015) due to inflow of imports andreduced domestic prices. In April-June operating income of Indian assets decreased 39% year-on-year to INR 15 billion ($234 million), and netprofit after tax – 96.1% to INR 0.3 billion ($4.7 million). The company recorded a consolidated loss of INR 1.07 billion($16.7 million), including performance of the businesses in the USA and Chile.
