Turkey’s Izmir Demir Celik reports net income despite costlier raw materials and lower exports

Izmir Demir Celik (IDC), a Turkish electric steel producer, has managed to improve its financial performance despite higher raw material cost and falling exports. According to the IDC’s report, it posted net income of $18 million in the first half of the year, while over the same period last year a net loss of $22 million was registered. The company also improved its EBITDA.
