Investments in construction projects to increase substantially in GCC countries

Analysts expect a considerable growth of general cost of construction projects in GCC countries in 2014, due to an inflow of investments and development programmes in some states. The aggregated cost of construction projects will increase by 22% year-on-year, to $195.67 billion. According to the Ventures Middle East report for The Big 5 Exhibition, some $134 billion will be allocated on construction of buildings, structures and infrastructure objects vs. $119.05 billion spent on the same purposes last year, the Arabian Business newsletter reports.
