USA: AISI and SMA believe Russia fails to meet WTO’s commitments

American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA) believe Russia fails to perform obligations to the WTO, as they commented in response to the Office of the United States Trade Representative’s (USTR) request. Russia continues to apply import and export restrictions, subsidies, and investment restrictions in the mining sector, which does not comply with the WTO’s requirements.
