Perloff's Clinical Recognition of Congenital Heart Disease

The first edition of Joseph Perloff's now-classic text-book on congenital heart disease was published in 1970, a time when the diagnosis of congenital heart disorders was dependent on the physical examination, phonocardiogra-phy, chest radiography, invasive hemodynamics, and angi-ography. With the introduction of chest wall and trans-esophageal echocardiography and Doppler methods, the accuracy of diagnoses improved considerably; all of these modalities are covered in detail in this latest edition, authored by Perloff and Ariane Marelli. The sixth edition also includes access to an online version that provides not only the text but also separate links to the figures and to a series of video images (all except 1 of which are echocardio-grams).
