China imported 1,140,000 Tons Of Manganese Ore In May 2010 By Slight Increase- Had A Slight Increase Of 1% From That In April, Imports From South Africa Recovered To 320,000 Tons

According to the customs-statistics released in China, the quantities ( on material base ) of manganese ores imported by China in January - May of 2010 as well as in a single month of May were as per the table attached hereto. Namely, China imported 1,140,211 tons of manganese ores in May of 2010, having had a slight increase of 1.4% compared with that ( 1,124,892 tons ) in the previous month of April. The price of manganese ore settled by major manganese mines with Chinese consumers for May shipment had risen from that for April shipment and, therefore, the imports in May decreased slightly from that in April.
