With a price increase of 300 US dollars/ton on offer, Japan's integrated steelmakers are in negotiations on their exports of GO (grain oriented) electrical sheets to China for shipments in the October-December quarter. There are no cases so far of customer acceptance of the price increase on offer. But some customers are said to have voiced their intention of purchasing what they need if an alternative price increase of 150 US dollars /ton applies.
