PT Inco / Indonesia Produced 19,811 Tons Of Ni In Nickel Matte In Jan. - Mar. 2010- Increased By 16% Compared To That In Q4 / 09, Increased Shipments Caused Improvement of Sales

PT Inco of Indonesia released on the 6th of May their production activities of nickel matte in the first quarter ( January - March ) of 2010. According to this report, PT Inco produced 19,811 tons ( 43.7 million lbs. ) of Ni in nickel matte in January - March quarter of 2010, having increased by 16.3% compared with that ( 17,029 tons = 37.5 million lbs. ) in the preceding quarter of October - December of 2009. This increase was mainly due to higher actual output aided by the rescheduling of a roof repair to one of electric furnaces, which moved to the second quarter of 2010 from the first quarter. This repair was implemented from the 5th of April and completed on the 19th but is supposed to influence somewhat on production of nickel matte in April - June quarter.
