According to the customs-statistics released in China, the quantities of manganese ore imported by China in the first half ( January - June ) of 2010 as well as in a single month of June were as per the table shown below. Namely, China imported 6,051,649 tons of manganese ore in the first half of 2010, which had a considerable increase of 98.0% compared with that ( 3,055,934 tons ) in the same period of 2009 and also increased by 56.8% compared to that ( 3,858,000 tons ) in the first half of 2008.
