Mr. Robert Yuksel Yildirim, President and CEO of Eti Krom Inc. as a major chrome producer in Turkey, came to Japan and had an interview with our pressman ( Mr. Hideo Saitoh ) on the 3rd of September at The Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. At this meeting, in form of answering the questions placed by our pressman, Yildirim CEO explained about his view of the current situation of ferro-chrome and its outlook for the future as follows ; (1) The circumstances surrounding ferro-chrome are thought to have passed through the worst. The world production of stainless steel is expected to revive in October - December quarter of 2010 and the global demand for ferrochrome is also forecasted to improve. In addition, I have viewed that the world production of stainless steel is in the direction to expand in 2011.
