Strike Gone On At Main Mine Of Codelco / Chile Shows Signs To Rise Molybdenum Prices-- Union Of Chuquicamata Mine Has Gone On Strike From 4th January 2010

The Union of Chuquicamata mine, which is the largest mine of Codelco in Chile and has belonged to the North Division of Codelco, has gone on strike from the 4th January of 2010 ( local time ). The Union negotiated with management of Codelco on new labor agreement as proposed by the company but was not satisfied with this proposal and has at last gone on strike from the 4th.
