The coal-fired power generation capacity of the electric power company of India, Adani Power Limited will be doubled by the end of 2010. The No.4 unit (with output capacity of 330,000 kW) and No.5 unit (with output capacity of 660,000 kW) of its Mundra coal-fired power station which is under construction in Gujarat, will start commercial operation by the end of 2010. The coal-fired power generation capacity of the company will reach 1,980,000 kW with an increase of 990,000 kW from the power capacity generated by its No.1 to No.3 units actually in operation (with output capacity of 330,000 kW each, total 990,000 kW).
