Demand For Secondary Aluminum Alloys In Japan For FY 2010 Is Forecasted To Be 1,471,500 Tons- Estimated To Increase By 3% From That In 2009, Expecting Expansion Of Consumption In Car Industry

Japan Aluminum Alloy Association compiled and released on the 19th of March a forecast of the quantities of secondary aluminum ingots for alloys and primary aluminum ingots for castings & diecasts to be demanded in Japan for the fiscal year of 2010 ( April 2010 - March 2011 ). Namely, the total quantity of secondary aluminum ingots and secondary aluminum alloys to be demanded in Japan for the fiscal year of 2010 is estimated at 1,471,500 tons by an increase of 3.2% from that in the preceding fiscal year of 2009. Also, the quantity of primary aluminum ingots to be consumed in Japan for production of castings and diecasts in 2010 is anticipated to be 217,900 tons by an increase of 3.5% from that in 2009. The quantities of these secondary aluminum ingots, alloys and so on forecasted to be demanded in Japan for 2010 were as per the tables (1) and (2) attached hereto.
