Counlerfeil medicines are being de signed specifically to deceive pharmacists, according to research conducted by the UK medicines regulator. Criminals are mosl likely to produce substitutes tor high volume, high price, block-busier, lifestyle and parenteral medicines, copies of which have caused deaths around the world, the annual Royal Pharmaceuli cal Society (RPS) conference heard.
