HEALTHCARE professionals in England must keep up the push to improve influenza vaccination rates, the Department of Health and Public Health England (PHE) have said. A letter sent to NHS leads this week sets out plans for this winter's flu immunisation programme and stresses the importance of improving uptake. According to the DoH and PHE, last winter was another quiet flu season for England, but "some other countries experienced more severe flu, a reminder that flu can be dangerous and remains highly unpredictable. We must therefore guard against complacency".
