Pharmacy leaders dismiss MP Lee's latest criticisms

PHARMACY leaders have challenged an MP's negative perception of community pharmacies after he once again criticised their role. GP Phillip Lee (Con, Bracknell) said he was "not persuaded of the role of pharmacies" during a debate on health expenditure in Parliament last week. He said that all GP surgeries should dispense drugs, adding: "I do not see why the taxpayer should be subsidising pharmacies."
