EMA groups to develop policy on transparency and data publication

THE European Medicines Agency is forming five advisory groups to help develop its policy on the proactive publication of clinical trial data. The agency held a workshop on access to clinical trial data and transparency last month which gathered the views and concerns of interested parties including patient groups, the media, the industry and academia. A report of the workshop was published towards the start of this month.
