Patients will benefit if all data reported

摘要

MUCH evidence from human trials goes unreported, which can cause patients harm and lead to wasted healthcare expenditure, experts have confirmed. In a series of papers published online in the BMJ (3 January 2012), researchers have examined the extent, causes and consequences of unpublished evidence. The authors of an accompanying editorial call for more robust regulation and full access to raw trial data to allow better understanding of treatment risks and benefits.
