BNF update highlights temporary pertussis programme

INFORMATION about the Department of Health's temporary programme to vaccinate pregnant women against whooping cough, in response to a current outbreak of the disease (PJ Online, 28 September 2012), is among this month's batch of British National Formulary online updates. The BNF has also been updated with dose changes for Pfizer's Provera tablets (medroxy- progesterone) for the treatment of hormone-dependent cancerous growths. And changes have been made to the paediatric dosing advice for nevirapine in the BNFC online.
