I was interested to read the Article by Judith Heed and Mark Ashton on current therapies for and research in the treatment of thromboembolism. (PJ, 9 July 2011,p64). It is gratifying to see more pharmacists involved in this important work. However, I would like to clarify the reference to the Department of Health report of the independent working group on the prevention of venous thromboembolism in patients admitted to hospital.
