Friends or foes?

BEHIND the scenes, there remains some animosity and distrust. Pharmacists — although they do not always want to admit so — find some GPs arrogant, obstructive and unhelpful. GPs, perhaps more vocally, wonder what pharmacists are actually for. Each group thinks the other is at some level greedy and self-serving. However, as Steve Field and Ash Soni argue in open letters this week (p574) there needs to be a concerted effort on both sides to overcome old sores for the benefit of patients.
