Lack of interest

I write regarding the News item (PJ,2 July 2011,p2)which reported that a large UK study revealed that combining medicines that have anticholinergic effects puts people aged 65 years or older at an increased risk of death and mental decline.I was surprised at the lack of interest shown by pharmacists and members of the public at these alarming results. Since the results of this study made headlines in many newspapers, I was expecting an avalanche of worried customers pouring into pharmacies. I also expected helpful advice to be forthcoming from the various multiples I work for. In the event, only one customer came.
