I run two pharmacies in an ultra-rural part of Scotland, in Skye and Lochalsh, a catchment area measured in thousands of square miles. The day started unremarkably. However, it was snowing more heavilythan usual and the nine-mile drive to Broadford on Skye from mainland Kyle of Lochalsh was difficult. But I arrived at work and there were staff present, Phoenix had managed to get the daily drug delivery up from Glasgow, and the newspapers were available next door. Everything had arrived as normal via the A87, everything except the drug delivery from Alliance.
