I agree with Sid Dajani's letter about the direct-to-pharmacy distribution scheme (PJ, 15 May 2010, p476) but would go a bit further. I believe the matter is simple to resolve. All drug companies should be made to supply major wholesalers without d any conditions or reduced margins.That also includes "pseudo DTP schemers", which supply their stock via only one wholesaler without financing the cost of the supply and delivery. The wholesaler will charge the pharmacy fuel surcharge and small account fees according to their trading terms.
