GPhC to charge to pay by direct debit

Pharmacists wishing to pay their General Pharmaceutical Council registration fees by direct debit will be required to pay an extra ￡ 15, the GPhC confirmed at its meeting this week.The decision comes despite 81 per cent of respondents (n=71) to the GPhC fees consultation believing there should be no increased cost for paying by direct debit.In addition, the GPhC also decided that there will be no reduced fee for pharmacists on a low income.
