From working over a wide geographical area, I can assert that there is no patient demand for medicines use reviews even in those pharmacies where the in-house radio station regularly invites listeners to use this free service. Because patients cannot be relied on to take advice unless they are seeking advice, it follows that an MUR will almost certainly serve little purpose unless a patient has asked for one. In any case, for a large proportion of patients, the best advice they can be offered will relate to lifestyle choices, which they are no more likely to heed.
