More medicines use reviews conducted at end of financial year/Manchester study reveals

Pharmacists conduct more medicines use reviews(MURs)at the end of the financial year than at other times of the year,a study conducted by the University of Manchester has shown(Health Policy 2008;88:258).The study examined the uptake of MURs in the first two years after they were introduced(April 2005 until April 2007).There was a peak in the number of MURs conducted towards the end of each financial year,with a notable drop in MURs undertaken at the start of the next year.
