GPs to get ￡5.25 per swine flu vaccine dose but commissioner sees opportunities for pharmacists

GPs are to get ￡5.25 for every dose of the swine influenza vaccine they administer following an agreement negotiated between the British Medical Association and the Department of Health. However, David Jenner, practice-based commissioning lead for the NHS Alliance, has suggested that there could be opportunities for pharmacists to deliver the programme.
