Society advice and guidance via myRPSGB

Last week saw new guidance issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency advising that certain cough and cold treatments should not be used for infants and children under two years of age. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society worked to ensure members were informed by issuing an e-alert via myRPSGB.The alert outlined the reasons behind the decision, explained the medicines affected, provided Society guidance for the treatment of coughs and colds and also included further advice for healthcare professionals.
