Urgent care centres to be piloted to curb A&E use in Wales

Urgent care centres designed to reduce inappropriate use of accident and emergency services are to be piloted in Wales.As part of the Welsh Assembly Government's plans to improve unscheduled care services,urgent care centres will be set up at four early adopter sites.These centres will offer care for non-life-threatening conditions and could be stand-alone units or located within A&E departments or community hospitals.
