The Department of Health consultation on the provision of stoma and incontinence appliances is a welcome and long overdue development.Although I have always considered the issues being addressed in the consultation from the perspective of a practising pharmacist I now have reason to see issues from a patient's perspective:recently I underwent surgery that necessitated the creation of a colostomy.
