Cotton is a commodity that varies greatly in its quality characteristics within the same species and the same variety. In die processing procedures, spinners need information about the raw cotton which accounts for about 50% of their production costs.The key factors affecting fiber quality properties are represented in genetic and environmental factors, whether they be agricultural or mechanical practices where the cotton is subject to them, starting from production and throughout its handling processes from picking till ginning and pressing.
