Cancer in pulmonary nodules detected on first screening CT

McWilliams et al. (Sept. 5 issue) describe the probability of cancer in nodules detected by means of screening computed tomography (CT), but we are concerned about the authors' conclusion regarding ground-glass opacity nodules. Benign nodules were defined as being either resolved or stable during 2-year radiologic follow-up or were proved benign by means of biopsy or resection.
