In response to the Dunns' above letter on Schaft Creek, it is unfortunate that the Dunns apparently have not had the opportunity to read the 32-page chapter on Schaft Creek in my memoir, Wild Places: The Adventures of an Exploration Geologist. There I give a detailed history of the discovery of Schaft Creek and my work there between 1968 and 1974.
