Editorial Comment: The authors polled registered pediatricians in Austria and Germany for their views about whether boys with neurological impairment should be treated according to established guidelines for undescended testes or in some other way. Tumor prophylaxis, future sexual life, legal concerns, risk of anesthesia and parental choice had a major impact on the perception of the need to individualize care for some. Nevertheless, the majority of pediatricians believe that children with neurological impairment should be treated consistently with others.
