摘要

A field experiment was conducted for two consecutive seasons; kharif 2010 and kharif 2011 to find out the status of imidacloprid 70WS (Gaucho) and thiamethoxam 70 WS (Cruiser) against cotton leafhopper Amrasca biguttulabiguttula (Ishida) on susceptible and tolerant Bt and non-Bt-cotton hybrids at institute farm, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Lam, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Irrespective of the kind of hybrid tested, consistently during both the seasons, non-significant differences were recordedbetween seed treated and un-treated plots with respect to leafhopper incidence. The seed treatment chemicals; imidacloprid 70 WS (Gaucho) @ 10 g/kg seed and thiamethoxam 70 WS (Cruiser)@ 10 g /kg seed have lost their earlier potency in suppressing the leafhopper population and it may be due to shift in the susceptibility levels of leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula against these chemicals.
