NPI production remains firm

In China, nickel demand has remained stable over the past month as the major mills have been operating at a higher level into the fourth quarter in part to meet their annual targets for production. This rise in production has not translated into higher nickel prices as there is sufficient availability. CRU understands that Chinese nickel pig iron (NPI) producers are continuing to produce at relatively high volumes.
