In last month's Copper Monitor, we noted that the market was waiting for something to happen which would change the status quo and provide a direction for the price. This “something” came in the form of several notable policymaking decisions by the European Central Bank (ECB), China's central government and the US Federal Reserve (the Fed). Taken together, these announcements boosted market sentiment, which has been sustained, at least at the time of writing.
