摘要

Electric-field-induced electronic state g/u mixing of nearly isoenergetic rovibrational levels of the EO_g~+(~3P_2) and DO_u~+(~3P_2) ion-pair states of I_2 has been observed using optical triple resonance combined with resonance ionization.Detectable mixing with applied fields of 1 kV/cm occurs over a range of energy level separations of <=0.3 cm~(-1).
