摘要

An important trend in biological and biochemical analy-sis over the past 15 years has been miniaturization andparallelization of analytical procedures. Large-scale high-throughput analysis of gene expression or genetic poly-morphisms is an essential element of modern functionalgenomics, where individual samples are screened againstmany thousands of target genes. According to its superiorsensitivity and accuracy, qPCR is a well-established goldstandard for precise profiling of gene expression levels orgenotyping of known SNPs.
