Although Kagara zinc's operations in Queensland are largely unaffected by the recent flooding, rainfall at its Thalanga operation in December and in the 2010 Q4 has been the highest since records began in 1889. This has resulted in delays to the Thalanga concentrator and Vomacka open-pit mine reaching full production. However, Kagara expects to make up the resulting shortfalls by the end of June and its financial year production forecast is therefore unchanged at 50,000t zinc/lead.
