An article titled "Is Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in Solitary Kidneys Safe?" was published in your journal in November 2013;82(5):1013-1016.1 believe that the study will shed light with its results, although the number of cases in it was low. However, it was reported in the article that percutaneous nephrolithotomy in the patients with solitary kidney is safe because of its acceptable complications. Whereas it should be known that the treatment of possible complications are quite difficult than normal.Standard percutaneous nephrolithotomy in the patients with solitary kidneys is still a difficult surgical procedure despite the advanced urotechnology. The main difficulty lies in treating the possible complication. The major complication is hemorrhage.
