Seven workers are confirmed dead after a coal mineoperated by Eastern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of state-run CoalIndia Limited, collapsed Thursday evening, the coal ministry said Fridayin a statement.Several more workers along with machinery and vehicles arefeared trapped inside the mine, which is part of the Rajmahal OpencastProject in Jharkhand, sources said.
