European-delivered CIF ARA physical thermal coal spot cargoes traded at an over-five-year low Wednesday, with prices teetering at the $60/mt level as the market recorded its sixteenth consecutive on-day price fall. Platts assessed the price of CIF ARA thermal coal basis 6,000 kcal/kg NAR and for delivery within the next 15-60 days at $60/mt, down $2.60 on-day to a new record low.
