Coal of Africa Q3 production slips 21% on-quarter to 911,563 mt

London-Junior miner Coal of Africa Limited (CoAL) said Monday run-of-mine coal production from its South African operations in the three months to end-March fell 21% on the quarter to 911,563 mt. It said this was due to flooding at the Vele colliery, a derailment resulting in a force majeure declaration at three operations and the depletion of the Vuna colliery resource. It did not give a year-on-year comparison.
