Coking coal prices fall more on China coals, low Australia offer

Singapore — The seaborne coking coal market came unde more pressure Thursday, as market sources said the trad- able value of Chinese domestic coals lowered and Australian offers weakened. Platts assessed premium low-vol hard coking coal $1 lower from Wednesday at $158.50/mt FOB while mid-vol HCC with 64% CSR (coke strength after reaction) declined $1.50 to $136.50/mt FOB.
