Huaihua, Hunan — China Shenhua Group mined 230 million mt of crude coal in the first half of 2012, up 29.68 million mt or 15.2% year-on-year, according to a release by the National Development and Reform Commission Monday. Over January-June, the Shenhua Group sold 300 million mt of coal, up 52.05 million mt, or 21%, on-year. Of that, exports accounted for 2.2 million mt, and imports repre- sented 12.72 million mt. The NDRC release did not provide year-on-year changes for coal imports or exports.
