Indonesian miner Bumi Resources won't resort to rights issue

London - Asia's largest thermal coal exporter, Indonesian firm PT Bumi Resources saidThursday that it "has no plans" to issue new shares with rights to reduce its debt following allegations of financial irregularities. "The reality is that Bumi management is open to various options to reduce debt whilst enhancing shareholders value," the company said. "Regarding a non-preemptive issue without rights, we can explore the possibility once we find a notable strategic part- ner," it added.
