The Northwest European spot PET price was assessed at Eur930/mt FD NWE Wednesday, rising Eur25/mt from last week. Prices were heard pegged in the range Eur910-960/mt this week, increasing on a weekly basis, as production issues for monoethylene glycol, a feedstock for PET, persisted. Several MEG producers have experienced problems in the past week and a PET source said that delivery of large quantities of MEG to customers have been postponed.
