European spot prices of ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride monomer rose following an expected increase in feedstock costs for April. EDC’s spot value was assessed at $314/mt FOB NWE, up $4 on the week, while VCM was assessed at $616/mt FOB NWE, up $6 on the week. On Thursday, the Northwest European March ethylene contract price initially settled at Eur945/mt FD ($1,031/ mt), up Eur35 ($38) on the month, market participants said.
